Review - Silhouette SXD2 USB DAC
The Silhouette SXD2 USB DAC was reviewed by Paul Miller in the July 2006 issue of UK magazine ‘Hi-Fi News’. His appraisal inspired these words:
“The first thing you’ll notice about it’s sound is the delicacy, a lightness of touch that’s just perfect at capturing the rise and decay of percussion.”
“…it manages to pick and place images of performers and instruments alike in front of your eyes…” “The ambience, the atmosphere and sense of occasion that accompanies a well-recorded CD simply manifests itself in the room…” “…there’s not a hint of harshness or hardness to grate, as the top-end continues to sound detailed, airy but never unduly bright.”
