ReMusic recently reviewed our Audiant 80i integrated amplifier and gave it their 'Spark' award. The 80i joins only a handful of other components to have earned this prestigious award.

The Audiant 80i was reviewed by Roberto Rocchi who found the sound of the amp possessed a "naturalness" and had "control like a true champion". Impressed that such a big sound could come from the 'little' Audiant 80i he commented:

“The small size of the Audiant 80i is in startling contrast to a big sound, opulent and luxurious.”

Roberto liked the natural sound of the on-board USB DAC and suggested it will "satisfy the aesthetic taste of the most experienced audiophile", especially if using a computer to stream music.

The annual KL International AV Show kicks off today for a weekend of hi fi and AV goodness. This is the 19th year the show has been run and to celebrate visitors will receive a complementary Limited Edition Commemorative CD.

The KLIAV Show 2012 is being held at the JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur and this is the 12th consecutive year the show has been held at the venue. The show starts today, Friday 20th, and runs through to Sunday 22nd. Show times are 11.00am to 7.30pm (Friday) and 10.00am to 7.30pm (Saturday & Sunday).

Even though big widescreen flat panel HDTV televisions, including Panasonic's monster 85" plasma, are likely to dominate the show; there is still a good turnout of two-channel and hi fi exhibitors. Show organiser Dick Tan says "visitors to the KLIAV Show 2012 can expect not only a more vibrant Show but one that is more informative then those of the previous years."

Each year the editors and writers at The Absolute Sound compile a list of recommended products for their Editors' Choice Awards. The Awards represent the products the editors and writers have selected as the most worthy of consideration and are components they would buy themselves – or recommend to friends and family.

The USB DAC equipped Audiant 80i integrated amplifier was reviewed by Neil Gader in TAS 213. He found the Audiant 80i had a natural symphonic perspective – where dynamics had vitality and drive, and vocals were full-bodied; and described it as "The Right Amp at the Right Time".

Every year at South Africa's premier audio video magazine Audio Video the reviewing team look back on the year that was and select the six components that were the highlights of their evaluation year.

For 2011 our Audiant 80i integrated amp made it into Joel Kopping's top six components and was his best amplifier for 2011.

Recently, Russian magazine Hi-Fi.ru reviewed our Audiant 80i integrated amp and it acheived a 95% overall rating – including 95% for both sound and build quality.

Reviewer Alex Skorpilev was impressed with the amp's "naturalness" and "accuracy of the sound" and sums up the Audiant 80i:

“The greatest merit of the amplifier is in its musicality. Each time, replacing differing in content of the phonogram, confronted with the fact that it is difficult to stop playing and curb their desire to listen to a record to the end”

Russian magazine hifinews.ru reviews our Audiant 80i integrated amp and it receives their "TOP 2012" award.

Reviewer Andrew Sasinovsky was impressed with the sound and versatility of the Audiant 80i rating it 10 out of 10 for both sound and functionality. He described the sound as "lively, free and natural" and regarding functionality it had "an impressive arsenal of features".

Andrew liked the built-in 24/96 DAC and MM phono stage, and the high power output given the compact size of the 80i.

With all things taken into account it's easy to see why hifinews.ru gave the Audiant 80i integrated amplifier their highest praise.

It's that time of year again, hi fi magazines and audio publications handing out their Best of 2011 gear awards.

Flicking through the latest issue of Tone magazine, we were pleasantly surprised to discover they had awarded our Audiant 80i Integrated Amplifier "Best Stereo Amplifier" in the 2011 Best of the Year Tone Awards.

It's fantastic to have the hours of hard-work and dedication that went into making the Audiant 80i a reality recognised and rewarded in this way.
