Over Christmas, we received news that Nathan Haines had undergone extensive surgery. For anyone to go through this sort of proceedure, is tough enough, but when your career and family is so directly involved ..... that's especially hard to take.
I had had 2 previous operations to make me more comfortable, but the one I just had was a major operation. I am still on Morphine. I had a successful 8 hour operation to remove a cancerous tumour in my throat 4 days ago. I can’t talk, eat or drink. I can’t play me saxophone either! Or sing just yet.
I am however feeling in great spirits. .... Marty comments: .... What a guy!
I have another operation to remove my lymph nodes in 3 weeks, then radiology which will take me though to March. I am having to re-learn how to swallow as I am now missing half of my larynx.

You can give a little to raise some $$ for his family while he cannot work. He will need all the help he can get, as it will be many months before he can work. Or even think about booking work actually. His whole life has changed.
I have found solace and I am laughing and smiling.
What a guy!
